Pike and dragon fire is my fictional world inspired by the period early modern period,the Renaissance and the age of pike and shotte.
The continent of erush is still realing from the effects of the great blight a 100 years previously from the current times.With a 70 Percent of the populous falling to the disease the warmongering of the contients and its kingdoms came to a screeching holt as a time of mass peace was declared by the church of the one.During this time of great peace a dedication of wealth and mind could be taken away from the arts of war and into the literal arts as the continent under went a great change in all senses.Architecture,Art,music,Fashion,Medicine and engineering it took a great step forward from the previous age.But with this time as well so did the advancement of arms and tactics across the contient as the advancement of arms tactics progressed steadily into its modern tactics of pike and Shotte.The peace afforded by the blight is seemingly coming to its end as great as a age of new political and religious between the Cavonist church of the one and the rising of pratonist nations has divided the continent into two great allegiances.The Church of the one supported "holy alliance" or sometimes referred to as the imperials lead in the backgrounds by the expansive and powerful Hielscher family.And on the other side of the conflict the pratonist league or sometimes nicknamed "The god gifted rebels" made up of a combined force of pratonist nations and other offshoots of pratonist ideals.The continent after a age of peace is to be thrown into the dragon fire once again with a new age of warfare and plenty of figures looking to make there mark on the history of erush.May the ones blessings be upon as all.

The odds would have favored the tiny invaders. The giants' formidable strength would not have been enough to overcome their adversary's sheer numbers. After enough battles the choice for these immense beings must have been obvious-- Flee or be annihilated. Some chose oblivion, giving birth to the glorious bedtime stories in our lore... Others fled. Hiding from view, keeping to the outskirts, they searched for a sanctuary so remote, so desolate and so uninviting, that their relentless persecutors wouldn't bother with it. The darkness in which we once cowered in fear, now curbed by the might of our endless light. Come, brothers, come, sisters. Let there be peace among the wicked, just as the Law dictates. Peace and certainty is all that you have ever longed for, little angel. A bright, stable future. A roof without holes above thy head. Acknowledgement and recognition of thy existence, feverish dreams of grandeur. Greed born from yearning, treacherous vines of rapacity taint your innocent soul. You seek a future that does not exist. Let thy fingers hold the fragile line between dream and nightmare. Let thy light navigate the path. Shall thee give in and falter, O' land of old, envelop his body in thy unending flame of chaos. Spit out nothing but an empty husk, the remnants of a smile once so bright. Shall thee prevail, O', Great Kazdel, I ask of you, the impossible - take mercy on the innocent. All Things Wild and Beautiful
Several months have passed, following the War with the Valg. Fenrys Moonbeam is slowly settling into his new role as the Ambassador of Terrasen, while his friends and allies set to work strengthening their lands. It seems that Terrasen has finally reached an era of peace, but peace can only last for so long. One Lady is missing from Aelin's Court, and the people in the city of Arcelia are demanding her return. If Nascha Makatza does not claim her birthright, her people will declare a civil war. They will attempt to secede from Terrasen and create their own kingdom, claiming the Anascaul Mountains as their territory. It is up to Fenrys to help his Queen and Court find the rogue Lady and convince her to accept her role in the new world, but that may prove more difficult than he could ever imagine. In the realm of Quomared, which occupies the biggest part of the continent, magic is a scarce and precious resource. Fewer and fewer humans are born magic bearers throughout the last decades. Zaretha is the only daughter of the Alsayid, religios leader and grand mage of the country, the most powerful still-living sorcerer on the continent in service of the emperor. She is, however, born empty, magicless, to everyone's disappointment. An attempt at a coup d'etate takes place after her twelfth birthday, and her father is assassinated under mysterious circumstances. An orphan now, she is brought to live in The Priory of the White Stones, a home for girls from families that have or had magic-bearing members. They are schooled to be concubines or wives that a noble family can acquire for their heir, because even if magic-less, they still carry the gene and have a fifty percent chance to bear a magic-yielding child. __________________ Mentions: Please don't copy and all that. Strands of your mind cling together like web to a slippery leaf bathed in the morning dew. The wishes for peace and certainty you have once so desperately longed for, now lay trampled underneath the might of your mind's vivid horrors. What was once so bright and lively, now cowers in fear, clinging to gone memories like a shipwreck survivor to some lowly piece of driftwood. From the depths of hell, you arrived victorious, grasping the laurel wreath high above your head. Unrecognizable, with your empty eyes telling a story of innocence brutally taken away from the child curling in shame in the depths of your empty soul. Almost green you are, curly head, having grown up with a rifle by your bedside table, never knowing peace and quiet. Out of the pan that was the Kazdel Civil War and into the scorching flames of Lungmen, where life flows by on its own accord, here, you must learn to live once more. So put on your best facade, Let the reuniting trumpets ring a wild, And allow the city to swallow you whole. Here we are, a continuation of my previous work "Goodbye Curly Head", which sprawled into quite the epistle (but it wasn't really a letter, it's just long :P). Summarized in the most basic way possible, it's a story about a twenty-year-old Kazdel Civil War veteran who goes to Lungmen and has some troubles acclimating to the steady life presented before him. Sprinkle in a too-good-to-be-true offer and a freshly established logistics company, and you get Andy trying to make it big for as long as his deteriorating mental state lets him. I'd say it works as a standalone story for anyone who doesn't want to bother reading the first part. For now, at least. Light The Kingdom
Since the dawn of time, Light has shined upon the planet of Gaia. Every being is made of it, but not all are chosen to wield it. Red, White, Green, Purple, Blue. Look to the sky, and you will find your Light. Those chosen, gain their color's ARS-their technique. Though, if you look close beyond the colors, you'll find the only kingdom atop the clouds, living just below the Light itself: the Kingdom of Lychinus. For 500 years, Lychinus has lived in harmony, a peace born from a fifty-year war between mankind and the creatures of the overworld. The creatures once believed the kingdom belonged to them as much as humans-mankind's heightened exposure to the Light granting them increased control over their abilities, and when the creatures were denied passage, they struck. Innocent blood was spilled on both sides, until one man ended the war-the Eternal King, Aetheron Lychinus.
