A wolf pup wakes up in a forest all alone with no.memories when she suddenly gets a vision causing her to meet a mysterous wolf named Idex. He takes her to the Timber tribe where she has to learn to fit in and to figure her past.

Maria can't explain what she is or what she's done. After all, it shouldn't be possible for a human to conjur fire from nothing but pure will, but that hasn't stopped her before. She can't remember how she ends up bloodied, beaten half to death on a deserted doorstep in the middle of the night, but she can remember him, bringing her in. He's a little reserved but she doesn't mind, especially as they have something in common: neither one is supposed to exist outside of nightmares and folklore. Few people know Maria exists.
