Barbara Olivier was anything but reckless. She had prided herself on her cautious nature. It was a nature that her children had mocked mercilessly over the years, noting her insistence upon sticking with proven, time-tested solutions for every problem under the sun. As such, it came as quite a shock when her adult children gathered to gawk at her diaries upon her death, only to find the longest group of entries simply labelled 'RFK, 1956 - 1968'.
If there was one thing perhaps that could've been described as reckless in the life of this celebrated socialite, it was her 12-year affair with her neighbour, Robert F. Kennedy, a romance that only really drew to a tragic close at 1:44 A.M. on June 6, 1968.

Hold Me, Like You Held On To Life
Inspired by the song "Vampire Heart" by HIM. This story follows Jackie's heartbreak and her suffering of PTSD following the events in Dallas, Texas 11-22-63 and she comes to discover that there truly IS life after death... Most of the dialogue and actions in the first few chapters DID happen and some true facts and dialogue appear later. But this IS fan-fiction so much is also just my imagination, especially near the end. My background knowledge of the Kennedys and the facts I use in this story come from many of the Kennedy books, articles, etc, I have read and Interviews I have watched and listened to. If you're curious to know what is true and what is fiction don't be shy to ask. NOTE: Rating change during Chapter 6. Enjoy. What if Joanna Thompson, a 26 year old Texas School Book Depository employee, tried to push Lee Harvey Oswald out of the window of the sixth floor making him miss the target of his fatal shot and he ended up shooting Jackie Kennedy instead of JFK? ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴀʏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴇᴀʀ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʜᴀᴛ, ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴀʏ ʏᴏᴜ ꜱɪᴘ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴛᴇᴀ, ᴛʜᴇ ᴍᴇᴍᴏʀʏ ᴏꜰ ᴀʟʟ ᴛʜᴀᴛ, ɴᴏ, ᴛʜᴇʏ ᴄᴀɴ'ᴛ ᴛᴀᴋᴇ ɪᴛ ᴀᴡᴀʏ ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴍᴇ. One Temptation
"What's with the glare? Just a few admirers for the beauty, West." I smirk, teasing his jealousy. "Because beautiful doesn't justify you sweetheart, you're not just beautiful, you're extraordinary. And it drives me mad. I don't want anyone else laying eyes on you. They wouldn't survive the night if they tried." "What will you do about it? Threaten them?" I move closer to him. His hand finds my face, gently stroking my cheek, "If I have to. Anyone who thinks they can take you, better think twice. You are precious to me, you're not just another pretty face. You are mine and I'm yours, and I intend to keep it that way.
