Barbara Olivier was anything but reckless. She had prided herself on her cautious nature. It was a nature that her children had mocked mercilessly over the years, noting her insistence upon sticking with proven, time-tested solutions for every problem under the sun. As such, it came as quite a shock when her adult children gathered to gawk at her diaries upon her death, only to find the longest group of entries simply labelled 'RFK, 1956 - 1968'.
If there was one thing perhaps that could've been described as reckless in the life of this celebrated socialite, it was her 12-year affair with her neighbour, Robert F. Kennedy, a romance that only really drew to a tragic close at 1:44 A.M. on June 6, 1968.
