(WIP!) Solstice, a 17 year old trans boy from the kingdom of Elyra, ran his own tavern since age 14, without much issue. Whether it be fighting drunk grown men thrice the size of him or cleaning a restroom covered ceiling to floor in feces, this kid always seemed prepared. But nothing could prepare him for Royal guards terrorizing his tavern and abducting him for the king's amusement. Now, as the new court jester, he meets the princess, Aspen. She longs to leave this life, and so he shows her what life outside the palace is like. She wishes she could run away, but can't without help. She and Solstice concoct a plan to run away together, poison the king, and maybe fall in love while they're at it. Will they succeed, or will they get caught and die a horrible, miserable death? Lilith Solace was born into nobility, but now she works as the court's jester, hiding her ruined family name behind forced smiles and cheap tricks. To keep the kingdom stable, she's pushed into a political marriage with Lucian Aber, a fallen prince exiled from the heavens. The match is nothing but a strategy by the king meant to manipulate and control but against all reason, real feelings begin to surface. In a court where loyalty is bought and secrets are traded like gold, Lilith sees one chance to take back what was stolen from her family's land and legacy. But power always comes with a price, and in a world ruled by angels and monsters even love can be deadly.
