"Hinata Hyuga, Princess of Konohagakure, Daughter of Hiashi Hyuga, Successor to The Hyuga Dynasty is getting married. Anybody who makes it past the first selection is qualified to become a suitor.
The first selection will take place in three days at The Grande Palace of Konohagakure. You must show up with suitable clothing and be prepared to take the selection with no further background information. More information about the Princess's marriage will be released after the first selection"
That's what the first posters announcing the heiress's suiting were. Word for word. Almost every boy in the kingdom walls had it memorized within the first hour. In the second hour, however, more and more information was released bit-by-bit. This continued on until the third-day wait was over. Now it was time to compete for the princess's hand in marriage, something that so very few could deny they wanted.
Naruto Uzumaki was one of the many peasants without a chance of winning trying to someone gain the princess's hand. He wanted it simply for the respect that it could get him. To him it would be a platonic marriage. After all, his heart belonged to Sakura, not Hinata. That's the way it had always been. The way it always would be. Right?
Hinata on the other hand struggled with her family issues. She had never as a child dreamed of being forced into a loveless marriage, but what could she do? Her father was the king and even if she did have some power, she didn't dare to use it. Hinata knew how she felt. She knew who she loved. She knew, but her family claimed that they too knew. That they knew who she was to love. That they knew the way she should feel. And for some odd reason, she wanted to believe them. Torn between her family and a childish crush of her own, Hinata must face the most difficult decision of her life.
As both struggle to discover their feelings they might discover a more sinister plot in the making.
