The Life of Mercy, a street dog that appears a few chapters into "Unfazed", as told from her POV.
........
A few years ago, a street dog got runover by a speeding runaway car.
Among the passerbys, a boy in a purple hoody rushed towards the crawling dog, kneeled down, picked her up, carried her to the sideways.
He stayed by her side at the sidewalk comforting it: gently rubbing her, whispering into its ears, kissing it everywhere, rubbing its blood off..., until its pain and agony eased.
A few years later, the dog's looking for that boy, the boy with those hipnotizing hands, those soul-warming, angelic hands, and those sympathetic, cloudy eyes that it'd never saw, nor imagined, out on the streets.
Will she succeed in her quest for a stranger she briefly met/saw (if that could even qualify as such)?
And will he even remember her?
Will it be a mery-go as she thought it would?
