What is a hero to do when their destiny is rewritten?
Malachi lived as any other boy his age in the encampments outside of the capital, training to follow his father’s footsteps as an honored soldier in the royal army. On the day that would shape the fate of the universe, he made the fatal mistake of challenging a powerful group of wizards on a path of destruction to the capital.
Cursed with dark magic, Malachi is quickly losing his pure hero's heart to the core of darkness that was planted in his soul. Now there's only two options for the once fated hero: Let the curse consume him and make him into the very monster he set out to destroy, or somehow overcome the darkness in his heart to restore peace and prosperity to the kingdom of Faltaria.
