In the year 2050, it was declared that the world has officially met its end. Pollution, deforestation, destruction had brought a population to its knees. Cities were desolate, oceans were swimming in oil, people were dying. In one final desperate attempt to save the remainder of the people, a central world government was elected. And project BK13 was rolled out across the world. A simple injection that places a microchip under the skin of every single person in the world. The chip monitors productivity, energy output, activity and everything the government needs to save the planet. Except it all goes horribly wrong. Every single recipient of the microchip is marked with a brand etched onto their skin. A brand that highlights there strengths, but more importantly their weaknesses and fears. There is no hiding once you have been marked. And yet, not everyone has been microchipped. Elora Harrison lives amongst a band of "the unmarked". On the run, fearing for the day when she is captured.

"a girl playing?" i pull a disgusted look to him. "what's that supposed to mean?" - "he's forbidden to do any building work for 2 days." he sighed, exhausted. i crossed my arms in disappointment. "are you twisting my fucking neck in?" "what kind of punishment is that? compared to that, mine was like getting a pole shoved up my asshole!" -
