Boruto wanted to borrow something from his father, so he walked into the hokage cabin, more like the blonde teen just sneaking in, as he was about to do that he heart something that he wished wasnt true. His so called father or he should call mother he didnt know what exactly to call, was talking to his long time best friend- kurama.
