The earthquake that ripped Hawkins in two brought so much more than destruction. It brought disease. As the gates pulled open, splitting the plane between the real world and the decayed land beneath, the poison bled out. Infecting the once-sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana. Zombies now roam freely as the national guard put up walls. Trapping them inside.

Hawkins', as far as the rest of the world was concerned, was cursed and deserved to burn.

But what about those left behind?

And why won't the zombies stay dead?

-----

Or, the one with the Zombie trope and the 'I hope we kiss before the world ends' type of slow-burn.

One, her group and fathers are the saviors of Oregon. Two, The Reaper's are not to be trusted. So when a mysterious stranger rescues her after a hunting trip gone wrong turns out to be none other than her mortal enemy she begins to wonder, are they all as bad as they seem? The death of Stephan has begun to deteriorate The Reaper's from the inside out. Infighting over who should be their next leader has created countless seasons of lacking supplies and structure. The only person who The Reaper's can put their hope into is Hawk, their new general, a powerful man willing to do anything to keep his group thriving. It took barely over a month for the epidemic to spread across the globe. Contrary to belief, the world didn't end with a bang and neither did it go quietly. No. It ended one scream at a time. A little more than a year has passed since the outbreak swept over the planet and annihilated a good portion of the living. Perri was one of the lucky ones who managed to evacuate with the military escorted buses in those early days of the spread. But, that luck didn't last. After one too many tragedies, she had decided to finally leave the, so called, "safe zone". With her main objective being the search for her best friend, she finds more than she bargained for. Her blood is death. Her blood is virulent. Her blood is life. Salvation is hers to give.
