An innocent decision can lead to utter chaos in the blink of an eye. At least, that's what I learned when I decided to take refuge from a storm in what I had deemed to be an abandoned home. Unbeknownst to me I would wake up staring death in his glowing red eyes after I decided to let my guard down and sleep for the first time in days after leaving that old hell-hole of a city behind. I just wanted to sleep and clean off the caked on dirt from wounds gathered from thorns and weeds along the way, but it seems life, or in this case perhaps death itself had other plans for me.
