**NEW CHAPTER EVERY FRIDAY** Paranormal investigator Zoë Allen hasn't been back to the village of Little Woodwick for more than ten years - but the one thing that could make her go back is the chance to investigate Woodwick House. She's sure she can keep the memories of the teenage years she spent at the old Georgian mansion at bay - but will that remain possible when she finds out the property is owned by her first love, Rob Townsend-Wilkes?

The rooms of Woodwick House echo with voices and traces of the past, and while Zoë is thrilled by the phenomena she's witnessing, being in Rob's orbit again after all these years is so much harder to handle - especially when she finds herself wanting to do whatever she can to fix his shattered heart...

The forces surrounding Woodwick House, both past and present, slowly come together in an attempt to influence Zoë and Rob, and what seems like their destiny. Were they ever really meant to be, or was their love only ever doomed to fail, like the spirit of those who have gone before them...?

[COMPLETED] In the year 1921, a family was brutally murdered in a small cottage. The place could fit a small family and had a large garden, it was isolated and quiet, a perfect place to get away with murder and that's exactly what happened. The Avery family was killed. A mother and her son. They were both too young to die, the mother only being 34 and the son only being 16. No one understood why anyone would want to kill the little family, who's been through hell and back after the father walked out on them. He took all the money forcing them to move into the tiny home. Even then, they were still positive about things until... The terrifying day took place. No one has ever moved into the house since then, considering all the rumors going around about the son haunting the cottage. His first sighting being a few months after the murder and since then there's been many reports of his shadowy figure in the windows. Teenagers often explored the place but as soon as they were out of the house, they never went back inside. - Zach Herron, aged 17, now ready to move into a house of his own. After being under his parents watchful eye for years, he's ready to finally walk on his own two feet. He could've moved out at 16, legal age in England, but decided against it but now he was prepared. The cottage seemed like a fitting place for him to stay, he's seen the reviews about it being 'haunted' but paid no mind to it. [This story was written and finished a long time ago, meaning it's completely awful and I highly regret writing it now. I won't stop you from reading if you so desperately want to for whatever reason but please be mentally prepared to cringe multiple times.]

The dead typically want one of two things. Ghosts crave conversation. Spirits seek pain. My name is Bria, and I've been able to interact with the dead for as long as I can remember. Communicating with the deceased might sound like a cool gift, but let me assure you, it's not. Ghosts don't shut up, and not all specters are friendly. In fact, most of them are dangerous. Pretending the paranormal doesn't exist is far easier than talking to the shadows, so I've been avoiding the dead for years. Past experiences have led me to avoid the living too. And for a long time, I've successfully kept my distance. Until a single ghost encounter in the library ruins everything. Now a couple of my classmates know my secret. But as it turns out, they have a deadly secret of their own. Time to talk to the shadows again. _______________ This story contains profanity and violence. [ONC 2021 Shortlister]
