But when push comes to shove, when you're barely alive and should be dead, the people who you don't know may just save you. Surviving without enemies is hard enough. But when the past comes back to haunt and enemies come to fight, the apocalypse may just become almost impossible to survive. Brains and brawn may not be enough. It takes heart to make it day to day. They knew it would be hard. They didn't know it would be next to impossible to survive. This is a story my friend and I wrote together. It took us about a year to complete. Ashton is calloused, calculating, hard to read, and a man known to be of very few words. He's become even more of a man incapable of being understood with Calum at his side, a man who couldn't be more different than his darling than anything else. He's discourteous, intense and purely psychotic with a part of himself that loves hard and fast to the point where his mania isn't something that can be easily or at all controlled, except by Ashton. Despite their differences, their love thrives and their reciprocated toxicity bleeds throughout everything they do, including their dealings with Michael. Michael and Luke's relationship had never been the best but it never meant he wanted his fiancé dead as he's come to realize, even if he did make a deal with the devilish couple that has him reevaluating himself while Luke enters a battle against the depths of his own mind and heart, facing his relationship and what true love is as he fights against madness. -- "You're not so bad on the eyes, doll face.
