The is nothing normal about Emily. Firstly she was abused and tortured by her adoptive guardian from young age. Secondly she is a Potter who has survived the killing curse. After being mistreated by her guadian for so long she is rescued by Hagrid (a big friendly giant). She wishes to pursue a normal life at Hogwarts but normal and Potter are not things that go together. Emily soon finds her first year notging like how she expected.
