I have to keep away from everyone. I learned long ago that being surrounded by people that I love only ended badly, but not for me. I'm as dangerous as a siren's song. When someone gets just close enough, they are ripped away from me by tragic demise. Death was always watching over my shoulder, so I learned how to keep everybody out, to protect them from the wrath that my existence brings.
It's not as if anyone can change my situation.
It not as if they anyone make sense of my silence.
