Writer's Digest - Your Story #119 Entry

This is just a short story I wrote up for a contest that I didn't win, but I thought it was worth sharing anyways. The inspiration for the story was the picture above, and we had 650 words to tell a story. Most of my inspiration came from the crane visible in the background of this shot of a beautiful neighborhood.
