"I'm sorry," Lou whispered helplessly. "I...I wish we could switch places, but...that wouldn't do anything, huh?"
Nolan smiled sadly, "No, not really. Cause if we did switch places, I'd be telling you the same thing."
They sat in silence for a few heartbeats. Lou curled his knees up closer to his chest, head resting in his arms. "I'm sorry you're stuck here."
The brunette was in a similar stance, smiling tiredly at the blonde. "You say that like it's a bad thing."
"Isn't it?"
Nolan's eyes drooped. His smile didn't falter, though. Taking in a steady breath, he leaned against Lou, head resting on his shoulder. "No."
