Issei Hyoudou was a mysterious figure to the world after he and his adoptive family were presumed dead in a gruesome murder when he was just fourteen years old. However, unknown to the supernatural community, Issei survived and was taken in by Tenmei Mikogami, a Kenshin who happens to be the headmaster of Yokai Academy - a school for monsters. While training under Tenmei Mikogami, Issei also attends Yokai Academy to further his education. After two years, Issei Hyoudou returns to Kouh.
