Familiarise yourself with the timetable and allocation of examination halls. Since centres may change with subjects and time, there is need to know all centres and arrange getting there on time. It does happen that timetables may be ammended shortly before or during the examination. Therefore, it is important that the notice board is cross-checked from time to time and constant contacts made with friends and colleagues. There is need to listen to Radio and television announcements particularly those concerned with examinations in which the student has a stake. West African Examination Council (WAEC) is the largest organiser of public examination in West Africa particularly Nigeria followed by National Examination Council (NECO). They amend their timetables when conditions call for it but candidates are informed through the notice boards, newspapers, radio and television. It is therefore, important that candidates browse through pages of newspapers for some minutes, listen to major news bulletins of radio and television immediately before and during examination periods. Many candidates have missed their papers through ignorance of changes in timetables and venues of examinations.
