3001, that's the year everything changed, and not necessarily for the better. Genetically mutated humans are very common in the the middle quadrants, but in Northstorm, any sign of an Elinan is a threat. To the government Elinans will always be a threat, specially with Earth being eternally covered in snow, with no one to protect the people. What would happen if everything you knew to be right was questioned? What would you do if the source of that questioning were an Elinan?
That's what Phillip Grace and I tried to prove. That Elinans were no threat, because, after all, they were the product created out of desperation.

I finally escaped the factory, they kidnapped me from my college. Today is my birthday, and I had planned for it but nothing helped, only calming me down for the moment. A scream echoed out in the silent starry sky, my body freezing... They were looking for me, I just knew it. Again, I ran and jumping over the fence to the property, muscles burning, my breathing short. I look behind me, not seeing the light of the school anymore. I slow down, holding my breath again. Looking around, only trees and bugs surround me. I slowly sank to my knees, gripping the grass in between my fingers, to keep my breathing calm. Tears springing to my eyes and brushing the tears away, slowly getting back to normal. Suddenly, I felt someone behind me. I could feel its strength and power surround me, turning around to see a dark figure behind me. Glowing blue eyes stared at me, seeing it slowly walk toward me. My breathing becoming short again, a panic attack was on the verge. A hand was now on my shoulder and another on my cold cheek, making me look into his eyes, "Let me help you..." He whispered. Rubbing his thumb against my cheek, I slowly nod my head, when a pain began to form in my chest. I knew it was coming. I quickly get away, crawling a couple feet away. "Get away!" I yelled. My skin turning white and the pain erupting inside of me, feeling it try to escape, and I know if I let it. It will hurt this man. Suddenly, he was there in my view. Blue eyes staring at me, and then his lips were on my own. Gasping as I felt the pain beginning to disappear from inside me. Eyes drooping and my body relaxing against his. Soon, the kiss ended and I was empty. My eyes closing. "Don't worry, I will keep you safe..."Complete
Mate Pull
Bang! I sat bolt upright. Did I imagine that? That noise? What was it? I clambered out of bed and almost fell down the stairs with the panic that had set in. My front door was wide open but nobody was there, the wood was just swinging in the doorway allowing the cool breeze in my house. What if somebody was already inside? I hopped over the living room sofa, to climb the stairs yet again and as I made it to the landing I was thrown into the wall. My body pinned against it with a muscled form shadowing mine. A hand placed over my mouth silenced my screams that I was too scared to let out anyway. "I'm not going to hurt you. Just don't scream." It was Colton. His husky voice was a distinct reminder that he was my mate. The tingles that spread through my body made me hate but love the entire situation. I want him closer. "You don't run away from me, understand?" I nodded, he was really close to me and my wolf purred for him to be closer. I pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind as he slowly removed his hand. "What do you want?" I demanded, making the futile attempt to shove him away though he didn't move an inch. "I want what is mine." He replied with a low growl that sent chills up my spine. My back was still pressed firmly against the wall and I think I was in shock to move. Though I felt safe which made me feel sick, how could I be safe in the presence of him? "No." I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. "No?" He repeated my words back to me and I boiled the kettle for a cup of tea. My mum said tea fixes everything, then again it never fixed her relationship. "You heard me." "I heard you clear. I'm just making sure you're happy with that answer before I make you regret it." Colton advanced forward, pure dread taking over my body at the size of him compared to me. He leaned forward so his lips were against my ear and with a soft tone he whispered. "Are you happy with that answer?"Complete
Wolf Eyes
It was his eyes. His eyes held me captive. They contained every emotion that I could ever think of and more. They reflected myself back onto me. My pain, my fear, my sadness. There was even a sliver of the happiness that I used to feel a long time ago. His eyes made me remember everything that had happened in my life up to this point. They also made me forget. They made me forget almost all of the things that were being reflected back at me as well, like my sadness, my fear, and my pain. They made me forget what it was like to feel hurt, to feel rejected, to feel forgotten. He kneeled down in front of me, bringing his beautiful eyes closer, so that I could see the starburst of lighter flecks decorating the iris. "Are you alright?" He asked with a voice as soft as the rain. As soft as the concern he had for a pitiful girl curled up behind the school dumpster in the rain. I couldn't speak. I was too focused on his eyes through my tear-filled gaze. "Did someone do this to you?" His voice had an edge of hardness to it now, like a diamond with a sharp edge. I could only nod. He fell silent for a few seconds, letting the swelling rain be the only sound between us, before he reached out slowly and scooped me into his arms and lifted me up easily. "Don't be afraid, okay? I just have to get you somewhere warm and dry, and I have a feeling you don't want to go back into the school." He said, starting to walk. "You're safe with me." Cover credit to @DeathStar34Complete
Verge of Insanity
My dream continued the one I'd been having for the past couple of nights. I ran, gasping for breath, through the familiar woods from a dark figure behind me. The faster I tried to run, the slower I seemed to go, until it was like I was running in place. I knew I needed to run. I was terrified of what the figure would do when he caught me. "Mara Leigh," a deep, smooth voice called. It was almost hypnotic. That was new. The figure had never spoke before now. I ran as fast as I could go, eyes searching the forest floor for a big stick or something that I could use to defend myself. "Mara Leigh!" the voice came again, this time more insistent. The forest slowly started to fade and I started to awake to someone shaking my shoulders. "Beau?" I mumbled, turning my head to the side. What's Beau doing in my room this time of night? Why is he shaking me? "Do not call me that name." My eyes flew open as I jumped at the voice from my dream. A face was right in front of mine, and just like the voice, it wasn't Beau. Before I could form a scream, a hand covered my mouth. I tried to bite it but I couldn't get my mouth to open. He's too strong. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife. Then he grabbed both my hands in one of his and held them over my head. He held me down while I struggled. I grunted and moved and tried to kick and scream, but I only wore myself out. Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do, so I just tried to prepare myself for whatever was coming.Complete

In The Eyes Of Fate Series (Book One) "Don't even think about it." I stood frozen in place as he said those words from behind me, which sent shivers down my spine. The rain started running down my face as I started thinking of a way out of here. My body trembled in fear knowing that he could easily hurt me. I'm not strong against someone like him Thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to think of a way to get away from him. But there was nothing but endless trees around me. I blinked away the water running into my eyes due to the rain. My thoughts were disturbed when he suddenly spun me around to face him, his face just inches away from mine. "P-Please don't hurt m-me." I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance. And ran. ~~~ Nora Brown, a normal adult, living a normal life. Moving away from home to start fresh and meet new people. Just going where life takes her. In the beginning, there was death.
