Zuko Hong Li (sorry about the horrible surnames, I'm not super creative) never had the best life, unlike his sister. One day, the whole world as he knew it changed. He had a secret, something no one was supposed to find out, but, of course, his father did.
After his father burned to disfigurement, 13-year-old Zuko is taken in by his uncle Iroh in Ba Sing Se.
He is then homeschooled for 3 years, barely communicating with anyone outside for customers at the tea shop and Uncle.
Until he pushes Zuko back to school school. So they choose one.
Ba Sing Se Academy.
That's where Zuko found it all. Friends, real friends.
And a particular person with a ponytail whom Zuko feels particularly attracted to...
But what about Azula?

Too Far Away
With nowhere else to go, Zuko and his Uncle Iroh are forced to flee into hostile territory, accompanied by a friend who's determined to help them. - "Why did you stand up for me?" Song Lee asked suddenly. He turned his head to face her. She was still looking at the sky. "When?" "After Mio attacked me. You didn't have to help, but you did." "Song Lee, he was going to kill you." "Okay. That doesn't answer the question. Are you avoiding answering?" "No, I'm not avoiding answering," said Zuko. "You weren't able to fight back fairly, and he was going to kill you, so I stopped that from happening." "What if he had killed you, too?" Zuko smiled to himself and looked back up at the sky. "He wouldn't have," he said, knowing that he was probably being arrogant but not caring. "He couldn't even bend." "So you stood up for me because you didn't want me to die?" "Well, we've had that conversation before. I promise that I really don't want you dead." "I didn't believe you the first time," she said, and he looked at her again. How to accidently befriend the enemy
The arrow only injured Zuko it did not knock him out. Shocked by how foolish his enemy is Zuko takes the opportunity to find out more about the Avatar and accidently becomes one of the GAANG in the process. Why does the Avatar keep looking at him like that and what's the strange voice he keeps hearing? Zuko really should listen to his Uncle more often. (Cross posted from A03)

Finding Home (Zuko's Love Story)
Meka is a water bender but she doesn't live with water benders. She was found alone when she was five by a group of gypsies. They were a group who gather together because the fire benders destroyed their homes. Hana took care of Meka as if she was her little sister. Meka learned on her own on how to bend water as perfectly as she could. Hana soon fell in love with a fire bender but wouldn't dare tell the others since they hate firebenders. As they started to travel again Hana was found pregnant and told the group it was an earth bender that she fell in love. Hana dies gave birth to a boy named Mikoto. Meka just turned ten but raised him as her own as how Hana wanted for him to be raised but when Mikoto turned 6 he accidentally burned another kid when he was getting bullied. When they banned Mikoto, Meka clearly went with him not caring if he was a firebender. Mikoto was Meka's baby boy. Zuko and Iroh found a boy run to their camp with tears in his eyes begging for them to save his mother. As Zuko went to help what he expected was an older women, found a girl about his age with beautiful long silver hair. After saving her Meka begged that they teach Mikoto how to firebend. After accepting they started to travel together. When Zuko starts to fall in love with her what would he do when he finds out she's a water bender. Follow their journey as they travel around and try to save the world.Complete

welp I'm pretty sure the title says it all but I'll write a cheeky description anyway just because you're looking so cute today. It's a modern world but filled with bending. The Gaang you know and love have busy lives in the big city, this is their story, how they meet there, their emotions, what relationships build and crumble. What happens when the Avatar makes an appearance? Much like my last story this book will have multiple POV's of most characters. Speaking of the characters they are all young adults, ages 22 and up. I intend to stuff in a whole lot of drama, chaos, fights, sadness and soppy romantic moments so you and I can be thoroughly entertained, I'll try my best.
