Hogwarts wasn't how neither his dad, nor Harry described in their time. There wasn't new, bizarre, and dangerous things awaiting to happen at every corner; nor Dark Lords rising to power every year. No, it was just a normal boarding wizarding school. Nothing too exciting really happened. The last big thing that stirred them up, was when the Gryffindor Prefect caught her boyfriend cheating on her with the Ravenclaw Quidditch captain, before the last match of the Cup...
Well, that was before Maia Maverick appeared on the floor of his school half-alive, half-dead, and managed to draw Teddy Lupin into the hurricane that was her life... Perhaps his seventh-year wouldn't be as boring, or as normal, as he has previously thought.
