Patience James is a 16yrs. old black,plus size teen from Louisiana. She has recently moved to New Jersey to live with her mother, whom she hasn't seen in 5 years. Patience isn't too pleased with moving in with her mother and new family, but she really doesn't want to go through the "new kid" "big girl" phase at highschool. She has been bullied most of her life and even though she should be used to it, she is still in her feelings about it. She has promised herself to not let anyone in her heart, nor fall in love while in New Jersey, just so she won't get hurt. But what happens when she meets this cool boy who somehow peeks her interests. Could he be the warrior to break down the wall of Paitence's heart or will he just complicate her life even more. We'll find out!!!
