Wei Ying was thrown into the burial mounds by Wen Chao, he found Went Ning and together they managed to survive. Lan Zhan on the other hand always tried his best to make Wei Ying feel safe and talk to him about how he was feeling, which always seemed to help the younger. The two had gotten to a point where they would spend every day and night together, becoming inseparable from each other, and that's when they both realized that they had feelings for each other. Every time LWJ is near WWX, he has visions of the events that occurred later in the novel such as the Cloud Recesses burning, WWX giving his golden core to JC, WWX being thrown into burial mounds and WWX becoming the YP.
