Ray Mond's life changed forever the night she and a few members of her family (plus one Tommy Tate) were nearly killed in a twisted serial killer's game. She wants nothing more than to simply forget that night and the feelings of guilt that accompany its memory. Unfortunately for Ray, she attracts trouble like no one else- and the past has a tendency to repeat itself. "Why won't you help her remember?" "Have you ever thought that, maybe, I don't want her to remember how things were between us? Maybe I WANT her to forget me." April was stunned. "Huh? What are you even talking about, Randy? You're like her best friend. Why wouldn't you want her to remember you?" His brown eyes, normally so joking, were dark and serious. "She deserves better, April. She and I, we're too alike. She deserves to be safe." He turned and began walking away. April was furious. "She always told me you saved her, Randy," she called after him. "Every time. YOU saved her." If he heard her, he didn't reply. The door swung closed behind him, and April was left reeling, wondering how she could explain to everyone why he wasn't there.
