Music has been the only thing that drove Eshaila basically all her life. She'd play with her lover, Rohan together in their village and together, they grew to understand the passion behind it at an early age.
All passion for it is lost as she is sent up north to play music for the king with no intel on the date of her return. Alone. But Eshaila soon discovers a new form of passion from the king.
"You best not question anything that goes on in this castle, Shaila. If there is one thing I've learnt by now, it is that.." she dropped her tone down and scanned the place as if she was telling me a secret that no one was to know "Nothnng is normal here".

Will she be able to venture into the unknown, and survive out of the watchful eye of the palace? This book has sexual reference and mentions of things that could possibly be triggering to some - e.g. young motherhood and loss of a parent. This work is usually split into two parts, but I have decided to take down the second part, and consider the first part, one book for now, so I can work on the second. When the second part/book has been finished, I'll decide whether I like it as one book or to reincorporate the rest of the book to make it one. Entered in the Wattys(2020)!Complete
