A book consisting of short stories made up of common frights but there's a happy ending, in which things that are used to scare characters in horror/mystery stories are kind and misunderstood. This of course includes ghosts, basements, the tree knocking on a window, owls staring at a character, feeling stares when nobody is around. All of that good stuff mixed with queer people and relationships. You get it, right?

I frowned when I realized a high-school student? I can say because she's wearing a uniform. What is a beautiful high-school girl doing here knocking at my door? I asked mentally. I asked her curiously. She looked at me and smiled, a smile that can make men drool, but I'm not because I'm still annoyed. "I am your girlfriend" she said sweetly, my eyes widened in shock, I know I'm drunk last night but I don't remember having a girlfriend.
