A date with the Timeless one

Maurice is a young man living in modern day New York City. On the surface he seems happy. He's a huge foodie and history/culture nerd, writing on both of these topics for a local newspaper. Deep down though he is unhappy. He longs deeply for the relics of the past, forever locked away from him and, unknown to him, for more personal connections. Both these things change when he meets a cute girl on the subway.
