Steve and Eddie had already been dating for awhile.. secretly, of course as this was the 80's, well, one person knew, Jason Carver, he caught them one day and beat the shit out of them, and it finally pushed the boys over the edge. After trying so hard to do the right thing, the boys couldn't take it anymore, they decided to get revenge on Jason and his friends, for everything they'd done.
(Warning: there will be very graphic mentions of killing, strong language, and some smut, also, I do not condone the actions they commit, nor am I trying to romanticize or glorify it.)
Steve and Eddie are basically Billy and Stu but actual boyfriends (Billy and Stu are characters from the first Scream movie if you didn't know)
I edited the cover but "ohmybabyjoseph" on Instagram made the picture of Joseph Quinn As ghostface, so credit to them.

Tw: 5 stages of grief but really really intense (i think) i'm not sure what else i don't really have this planned out i'm just kinda going with it a lot of trauma and mental breakdowns gore and descriptions of pain and like immense grieving (bc obviously... after season 4 like what do u expect) in this story everyone is fine, except for phycological trauma obviously, except for Eddie. Max lives, the town doesn't shatter and crack, it's all fine and dandy. Eddie is dead, everyone is heartbroken and no one knows how to really cope with it. Especially Steve. Steve(21) Hasn't had a chance to leave this awful place. He has stayed around for the kids, wanting nothing more to be there for each one's graduation. Confused. Lonely. Depression has really started to hit in the last couple of years after all of the tragic losses to the upsidedown. Nearly losing everything and everyone he's cared for and loved. Most everyone has gotten their chance to escape, Nancy and Jonathan moved to California after graduation. Robin's off at college. Until he realizes maybe he's not so alone here, sparking a true friendship with the most unlikely person, Eddie Munson. Eddie(22) hasn't been able to get out of this town either after swearing he would get the hell out of here many years ago. The kids are all graduating this year, which will most likely end up giving the two now men, no reason to stick around anymore. But what will happen to the two friends when Steve realizes the feelings he's thought for so long to just be a platonic friendship have always been a little more?
