To Be Alike- an Rise!DonatelloXOC kinda story

Donatello, 19, still being introverted and sarcastic as he may be, always felt to be a romantic. Though he may never really show it around his brothers, his father Splinter definitely has his side. All he wants is someone (other than April) to shine his expressions and love for things outside the sciences, to see him as equal and not a mutant. Shell, another mutant like him would be even better, even to love. Dreams can come true for others, but will they ever for him.

Melody was new to the city, being from the southern states and was always a homebody. She never stayed in one place though because she was an foster child, adopted over and over through the years and did whatever her families wanted of her out of kindness and being grateful. Come to realize too late that all they did to her was dry her accounts for their benefits, so she decided to get whatever she could carry and drive herself as far away as she could to be on her own. She was grown up after all, finally 18. But another thing held her inside like an everyday Cinderella or Rapunzel, something that would align her and a certain turtle together.

Like they say, looks aren't everything.
