He looks up at me, pleading, but all I feel is rage and disgust... and a smug sense of happiness. "I... I can be better. I... I will quit and move away...I'll never..." What a load of bullshit! In one quick swift move, I cut his throat, just like I have learned and done many many times before. "Doubt it!" He frantically tries to hold the bleeding wound together, but he has already lost a lot of blood. It pains me that I can't torture him, just like he did me, but this will have to do. In a dystopian world, where the strongest prevails, having peace is a luxury. Especially when someone from the past is out to destroy everything we have built up over the past 15 years. And with Christmas approaching, our group get to face ten hellish days. Preview: In his fury, the chains have rubbed his wrists and neck raw, despite me trying to calm him down. He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. So if I mess up somewhere, let me know!

"Mommy?" I looked up from her arms and into her smile. "Yes, my little light?" She replied back, with a curious grin. Nothing but love, gentleness, and kind warmth on her sweet face. Six year old me stared into her glistening eyes. Eyes that could melt glaciers. Those eyes. "What is it my love?" She questioned again with an angelic smile. That damn smile. The sudden breeze pushed the windows to slam open against the walls, as the curtains flew up and the rose candle was blown out. The night crept in, invading my bedroom. My mother gasped with a frightened jump and called out my name. Frantically, she flipped the bedside lamp on when she heard no reply. Panic washed over her face as she kneeled beside her sweet little girl, now covered in a blood stained night gown, black eye and bloody lip. "Why did you let him hurt me, mommy?" My mother gasped and fell back onto her hands. Terrified, she stood and with no hesitation, made a dash for the door, leaving her baby girl in the dark corner. Her panicked attempt to leave the room came to a complete stop as she came to face the full length mirror. She stared back in horror, only it wasn't her looking back at her reflection. It was me -Kali emerges from her past that has left every piece of her in ruins. Her life was left shattered into a million pieces. With intentions of starting a new life, she feels like her past will never let her go. When starting over doesn't promise a new start, Kali's life is thrusted in and out of place.Complete

He was rude and had a terrible attitude, but his eyes didn't show anything but pain which is something she knew all too well. They are complete opposites but have one thing in common.
