Eligibility:
The candidates' ages must fall between 16 and 19 in order to be eligible to enrol in the Defence Academy. The UPSC often announces the age criterion when it issues a notification. Higher secondary school or an equivalent with physics and mathematics is required for eligibility in the Merchant Navy. This also applies to the Air Force, although math and physics are not required in the Army.
