Daisy Andrews, a 17 year old girl, wakes up in the hospital and finds out that she has been in a 5 day coma. Once she fully regains all of her memory, she finds out that she is in an abusive relationship with her alcoholic boyfriend Austin, and she struggles with many issues that have been haunting her for years.
When Daisy awakens from her coma and realizes that she is right back where she was before, she is forced back into her problematic life, and she must make many tough decisions. To Daisy, it seems that her entire life is just an endless climb up a mountain, and every time she gets close to the top, the wind always blows a little too hard, forcing right back down to the ground where she started.
Austin has framed Daisy for many things, and made things look like a completely different situation then it really was. Because of this, when Daisy awakens from a coma, she struggles with rediscovering who she really is...Trying to follow Austin's tracks and figure out what she really did and didn't do. She thinks she remembers at first, but later discovers by her doctor that she has only regained a certain amount of her memory and she will probably not have 100% memory for a few months...maybe less, maybe more. There is no telling. So how can she be certain of anything?
In this story, you will get to see many of the characters' point of views. You will be looking through the eyes of Daisy most of the time- but many other point of views are included, such as 18 year old Austin, and other unrevealed characters.
Some people live in a world where light is invisible to their eyes. But, some people carry the light within their very own eyes. Who will be Daisy's light?
