Amber is an average teenage girl. She lived like an average person, ate like an average person and did anything an average person would do, that was until she discovered something that would change her life. Would she be able to keep all the secrets that she is now being forced to live with or will she brake under the pressure to save a whole nother world from what she and everyone else that were the good people? Will her best friend of 2 years win her heart or another person she barely even knows? will she be able to protect her and the rest of her world from destruction, or will this war break even the best? This is the story of a young girl that wished for something she never expected to come true. What used to be an average 13 year old girl might be the one that saves both worlds and discovers the truth behind her dark past she didn't even know she had.

What did you think when you heard the word "devil"? Most people think that they're monsters, things that don't exist. Well, I don't think that. It might be because a "devil" saved my life, or maybe because he became my last slice of happiness, maybe because we both have secrets that we keep for each other, or maybe it's because I fell for that devil.  I might never know. What I do know is that I wouldn't take that fight with my parents, the chilling cold air, or that promise I broke back, not in a million years.

We know you have powers; we can sense them on you. We can do this because we have powers too. We call it magic. If you want, we can show you.” “Prove it then.” ~^~^~^~^~ There was a monster inside of her – a dark thing that always tried to claw its way out, ripping her insides to shreds as it went. She found no relief from it, maybe because she had no happy memories to find solace in, nor anyone to find comfort in. And yet, Amber could be the catalyst to setting a series of events that had been prophesied centuries before, into motion, bringing together three more people – the embodiments of the Emblems – to bring magic back to life. But in this underlying world of Adepts, Demons and secrets within secrets, unlocking their potential will be harder than you think. ~^~^~^~^~^ So, this is my 2014 Nanowrimo story, which is basically an attempt to rewrite Phoenix, where it shall go through major changes in plot, characters as well as effects of my new-and-improved writing style. Iv added an extra twist to this story, taking us down an entirely new route from the normal werewolf story, please give it a chance and if you hate it I'm sorry you do, just know it's just a tiny part of the story and it adds another dimension to my work. In life, we do things we regret, or that we wish we could wipe from our memory forever. At the age of 15, I didn't think I'd regret anything until I was an adult. I considered myself care free. I lived life one day at a time. Well, as much as a 15 year old can. But in life, there are also things that we can't change, that we can't forget. Circumstances change, events occur, and life as we know it is altered forever. For me, it was one night, that set in motion a series of events that I wouldn't be able to forget, even if I tried to. *************************** My life was spectacular, or cool, but I was content, and that's all that mattered. I wasn't overly popular, I wasn't the prettiest girl, and I didn't live in a mansion. I did have a great boyfriend, and amazing friends, and hell, I wasn't doing too bad in school either. But that all changed one night, as I was walking home at night. I witnessed a man murder someone he claimed was a snitch, something to do with a gang deal gone wrong. When I found my parents dead the next day in a serial killers wet dream, my naive self decided the best thing I could do, was run, giving up everything I loved. After 2 years, 3 dead members of the gang and a new school, I was found. When secrets are unraveled and with the FBI somehow involved, nothing is as it ever seemed.

They took her. That's the last thing that burns in my mind, at least the most important thing that can come to mind. Everyone knew her, she was a sacred gem to the royals, her name was Tori LightningFlame. A dutchess soon to be married to Prince Spectre. When I was younger I heard most of the talk about Tori and Spectre being a stable boy, but it wasn't enough for me, I wanted a better job, I wanted to hear more about them, I wanted to be important there. So everyday for the past five years I've begged. And begged. And begged my father to let me at least attempt to become a squire. Ever since my tenth birthday I had hoped and wished for the day he would finally accept my plead. Every beck and call of mine was given in every form possible. Until one day he finally agreed. The day of my fifteenth birthday. It was an extraordinary day, one I could never forget.
