In which in their eight year at hogwarts, the war is over and very few students have returned to hogwarts and due to this most classes potter and malfoy have, are together. 

During a usual malfoy versus golden trio argument hermione decides to try a new spell from charms class not realising the effects it has without practice..

and the effects of the spell seemed to have tried themselves out on malfoy and potter.
