Finding a group of survivals is one of Hayley's luckiest moments, and fitting in is certainly a blessing. Friends for life are made during the apocalypse, something she never would have expected. While eventually having a well accepted role in the group, she just can't seem to earn the attention of a certain someone, let alone earn his respect. That someone happened to be Rick Grimes; a man that hid his grief and pain to lead the people that hurt just the same as him. Hayley would rather avoid him, and she knows he wants her to, but the two find each other either way, so unexpectedly.
Despite avoiding each other and despite the unnecessary bickering, Rick and Hayley have some things in common. What grows between them is so unfamiliar, yet it isn't. Will an unexpected kiss change everything?
