It is Sarah Spellman's final year at Hogwarts. The vaults have been vanquished, and no one has heard from R since they failed to uncover what was hidden in the vaults. Sarah's friends are eager to put the past behind them and enjoy their final year at Hogwarts before they pursue their wizarding careers, but Sarah finds she can't let it go. Her brother is still out there, her parents are still grieving his loss, and she knows she plays a part in Rs destiny. She won't give up until she finally uncovers the truth behind the dark cabal that took everything from her.

Sara is about to go off to Hogwarts for the first time, but she has a secret, something that seperates her from other people. She is a Maledictus, the same as her mother, and grandmother. This blood curse means that one day, Sara will transform into an animal, and be unable to turn back into a human. This process has already happened to Sara's mother, who is now stuck as a large, fire-breathing dragon. Sara is worried that she will be alone at school, but straight away she becomes attracted to a group of troublesome boys in her year, called the Marauders. They all become so close, that Sara finds it hard to keep her secret from them. As the years pass, the 5 friends become inseperable. Doing anything, and everything together. But Sara begins to feel a pull towards one of the other members in the group, who happens to have a rather odd fixation on the moon...
