It was that stupid book that got me here.
"Princess of Dreams," your typical feel-good fantasy love story set in a snobby royal world because romanticising the monarchy was all the rage among fantasy authors. My little sister gifted it to me and, well, I could never deny that girl anything, so I read it.
It was horribly written, as I'd expected. But there was a bit of nuance hidden between the pages of kissing and girls dressed in flowery dresses. The main villainess was a girl who was betrothed to the future prince, and who went crazy after her older brother died trying to oppose the monarchy.
Of course, the book painted the male and female leads as being in the right for executing her brother because the girl was a 'bitch' toward the FL. Still, though I sympathized with the FL's plight, it didn't sit right with me.
Although I never expressed any like for the book in the first place-- so why in God's name was I here, in the body of the doomed canon fodder 'Young Lord Bellerophon'?!
