When Gellert Grindelwald arrives in Godric's Hollow in the summer of 1899 he enters the history of the Wizarding World and yet, he did have a story before that. Let me tell you the tale of this particular student of the Durmstrang Institute and what happened before he couldn't call himself that anymore.
Before Albus Dumbledore, before that faithful summer.
(Prequel to my story "A burning summer", although it is not essential to have read it)

The untold Story of Grindelwald and Dumbledore
"A tall, young man appeared behind the trunk of the old oaktree in our front garden. When he came over and extended my hand he had the unmistakably elegant movements of a wild cat. His hair was pearly white and as he came closer I recognised the different shade of his eyes: chestnut brown and steel blue. His grip was firm and dry. "My name is Gellert Grindelwald. And you must be Albus Dumbledore." This is the story of the two months in which Dumbledore and Grindelwald got to know each other, made plans to rule the world and fell in love with each other. It's highly researched to fit characters and dates. This is what could have actually happened based on all hints of HP7 (Dumbledore and Harry speaking) and "Phantastic Beasts". I do not own any of the characters or backstories. They are based on the work of J.K. Rowling in the Harry Potter Books and the movie series of Phantasric Beasts and where to find them. This is my first story ever to be published. English is also not my mother tongue.
