There is a lot going on.
From his sister more frequently having to stay at home because of her illness, to Rui confessing his feelings, to him getting sick of his own voice and personality, to Mizuki and the rest of the cast becoming friends and seemingly forgetting about him for a while, there's a lot going on.
Somewhere along the way, he seems to have lost grip on his true feelings.

Everyone is gay and there's a vaguely coherent timeline. Tsukasa and Rui both want to die (who doesn't tbh). No Saki is not used exclusively as a way to make Tsukasa sad since apparently that's a common theme and I don't want anyone getting confused from the summary

Demoralized
Izuku was tired of his life, getting suicide baited almost everyday, getting bullied too. He was somber and disconsolate since he knows everyone doesn't care about him nor love him, he lost his loved ones and had no one to talk about his feelings, problems he's facing. He keeps it to himself because he knows he's a burden, but until Aizawa came to help Izuku, his life started to get better and got help with the problems he's facing after trying to jump off the roof of the school building in the midnight.
