Katy and Becky get caught up in a storm, and lose their way. After wandering for hours, they find a strange and lone mansion in the middle of the woods. Not having any other place to go, they settled themselves in it. While everything in the house looked centuries old, the firewood in the fireplace was mysteriously fresh. The two friends had first thought it was an abandoned home, but when they realize there's someone living in it, they've never been more terrified. The owner has to be someone dangerous if he's living away from everyone, right?

Katy and Becky soon discover what the man really is, and he catches them lurking around his home. While Becky is desperate to leave, Katy can't help her growing feelings for him, but she denies it, until he makes a deal with her. As irresistible as it was, she wouldn't.
