For many years the Academia has failed to truly study the ruins of the desert without putting themselves in danger every time. They would either underestimate the journey or didn't pack a significant amount of supplies but somehow, they find themselves back in Aaru village unharmed, dehydrated and hungry but unharmed. It was the biggest mystery until one found out and devised a plan to gain the trust of a certain creature who rules the sands, the creature that the children of barren land loved more than the scarlet king himself. With the plan thought out, no one actually wanted to put themselves in danger.

So who better for the job other than the academia's lunatic Alhaitham? He of course takes the offer of discovery and pay but cares not for the registration and fame that would follow. Following the notes and plan relayed to him, the Dendro wielder found himself in a dangerous predicament after running out of water and having no idea where the closest oasis would be, he wanders aimlessly until a figure appears before his deluded eyes...
