Everything changed the day Pansy Parkinson brought him in on the brink of death. The last person Hermione ever wanted to heal. He was vile, loathsome, evil. He didn't deserve it. He looked down at her arm. At the blood dripping from the scar his own blood had created. She hoped he felt the shame. He looked up to her face, "I'm so sorry Granger," he whispered. Her body shook as she finally let go. Hermione Granger cried for the first time in 2 years. She cried because the world was a cruel place. She cried because the only person checking on her, the only person who cared, was the one who was the cruelest of all. She cried because she found solace in him. She cried because her best friend was dead.
