Celebrities of all calibers receive threats, either joking or serious. In Joe Burrow's case they were both. Started as a harmless internet joke, but as most things do, it escalated. The same threats appeared on everything he posted, signs posted up outside the stadium, they even got his personal phone number and was texting and calling. It wasn't longer after that the police were involved.
After a forced leave of absence from the team, Joe found himself getting shipped off to an off the radar town nestled in the deep valleys of West Virginia, wasn't far from home, but it wasn't close either. He was promised a couple weeks, a month tops, before they caught who was responsible, but what happens when a couple weeks turn into a few months?
Can he handle being in the secluded town that long? Maybe the friendly next-door neighbor can help pull him out of the funk he was in.
