Izuku does not like his quirk. With a single touch he can copy mutation and transformation quirks - but he can't stop his quirk from activating and he cannot turn off the quirks he copies. He does not want to use his quirk, but he wants to become a hero. When a chance run-in with a villain leads to All Might almost splattering him he gets new hope in himself and in his quirk.
