Neelan ja Aleksin erosta on kulunut viisi vuotta. Yhteisistä ystävistä huolimatta, ei heidän tiensä ole kertakaan kohdanneet. Neelan arki koostuu pitkälti töistä, eikä aikaa uusille parisuhteille ole ollut. Aleksi on luonut uraansa menestyneenä muusikkona, eikä hänenkään elämäänsä ole juuri muuta mahtunut. Eipä Aleksia ole Suomen maaperällä myöskään kuin satunnaisesti näkynyt.

Kaveriporukassa nuorimmatkin lähenevät jo 30 vuoden ikää, mikä saa jokaisen kipuilemaan tulevaisuuden suhteen. Osa asettuu aloilleen, kun taas toiset eivät ole vieläkään varmoja siitä, mitä elämältään haluavat. Osittain tämä aiheuttaa myös hankalia tilanteita, kun yhdessä ajan vietto ei onnistu aina enää niin kuin ennen.

Tarina on täysin fiktiivinen, Blind Channelin henkilöihin pohjaava. Hahmot ovat kirjoittajan mielikuvituksen tuotetta, eivätkä vastaa oikeasti todellisia henkilöitä, vaikka heihin toki jonkin verran pohjataan.
