Taking place in the mid 1950s of Bangkok Thailand, a young American woman named Ava Edwardson travels to help with the devastation caused by the war. On her way to meet a friend in a nearby village, she encounters Aroon Wong, a rich Thai man who's notorious for his misdeeds and lack of manners.

However, upon meeting Ava he falls in love at first sight. Ava is surprised by his actions, consistent following and helping nature. The two will be faced with many challenges. There is major classism that separates the two, as if it were a thick line. Not to mention the language barrier, strict restrictions that limit the amount of traveling into the village and family opposition from Aroon's side. Will these two be able to prove that what they have is just more than the borderline?
