Lucid Dream is a pony who struggles to find her purpose in life. Though she has a cutie mark, she doesn't know what it means. Due to this and her past, she is very insecure and sees herself as worthless. She is socially anxious and lives in isolation. But one night, her life begins to change, and a road of discoveries is ahead.

Her third and final dream was to have a family that wouldn't judge her for her flaws but her peers told her that it would never happen because she was too flawed for anyone to not judge her. the filly's heart broke more and more each day she was told her dreams won't come true until one day she ran away from the place she once called home to try to escape her pain after loosing her only friend Zipp Storm. the filly then found others that were without families like her and she lead them to create their own home but her pain stayed as she grew, she became cold and untrusting towards thoses around her. Will Sunny and her friends be able to help her with her pain? or will they fail to stop her plans of making everypony know the pain she's felt her whole life.Complete

I wrote this fanfic based on a simple question: Why are there so many stories that approach age change with something like, "Oh, I'm a kid again... good to know" and skipping almost the entire childhood and learning process?
