When teenager Rowan T. Crestor, local small-town 14 year old troublemaker, takes a walk into the forest and finds the deceased ghost of 20 year old girl named Sarah, a girl who was assassinated as the ruler of a kingdom and army from long ago, and she requires him to solve the mystery of her disappearance, ooh boy. When they're just this close to solving the case, someone dies. And then another. And then it's a full on serial killer in the small town Rowan has lived in since birth. And, oh boy, does it get bad. Confusing. It's downright terrible. And then a clue in the right direction, left behind from years ago. A book. The same book Sarah had read, a book from her mother.
