Not everything is as it seemed.

Disclaimer - I don't own Astra Lost in Space. This was written for the first regular Froday challenge for the month of September, the word prompt being oppression with my mind jumping to how clones in Astra Lost in Space are thought of as disposable. And then this hapened.

The "Teleportal" incident by ClearSkyStorm
5 parts Ongoing
Their goal was to find out who caused this sudden appearance of this portals. It all began in the year 2039. Portals appeared across various parts of the ocean, unleashing numerous Kaiju that triggered massive tsunamis and claimed millions of lives. As the years passed, humanity developed a wide array of powerful weapons, some crafted from the remains or technology of these fallen invaders. From this global crisis, the nations of the world united under a single banner: the United Nations Earth Attack Force (UNEAF) an organization forged from vengeance, determined to make the otherworldly invaders feel the full wrath of humanity. By 2045, UNEAF had grown significantly stronger, developing superweapons such as the Sirens, Kansens, and Fogfleet. In this era, scientists discovered a new particle, smaller than a proton, known as "Mana." This breakthrough allowed humans to perform feats that defy physics, essentially granting them the ability to wield Magick. The mana was also used in various fields, discovering many ways of using it; and as a result, three distinct types of soldiers emerged: Mage - Those who can harness Mana and train to master Magick. Mutant - Non-magick users who surpass their limits through genetic mutation. Cyborg - Individuals fused with advanced technology to enhance their capabilities. That same year, more new portals began appearing, bringing more than just hostile creatures. Sometimes, they release seemingly innocent lifeforms. Other times, lifeless objects. And occasionally, beings so terrifying they defy human understanding. No matter what emerges, one rule remains: never let your guard down. Driven by ambition, some humans dared to enter the portals, seeking new worlds to conquer. But not every portal leads to a land ripe for domination. ___ ___ A/N: This is an AOBS AU fanfic crossover, and an authors collab story. This fanfic is written by an idiot.

They were born from the stars, but the world refuses to let them stay. It has been three years since the Genesis Flares, the solar phenomenon that gave birth to Astrans: beings with abilities beyond human comprehension. Some see them as miracles, others as abominations but to those in power, they are a threat that must be controlled, exploited, or eradicated. Fear spreads like wildfire, and war is inevitable. Among the displaced and the hunted, a survivor fights to carve out a future for her people, refusing to let them be erased from history. By her side stands the one who saved her, a sister in all but blood, a friend who has vowed to protect her, even if it means keeping dangerous secrets. As alliances fracture and loyalties are tested, they must navigate a world that has already decided what they are: enemies. In the heart of the conflict, two minds once dedicated to progress now wrestle with the weight of their own creations. One, a scientist bound by failing health, seeks to undo the greatest mistake of his life before time runs out. The other, an engineer thrust unwillingly into war, struggles between duty, regret, and the burden of being the only one left to fight. Lines blur between vengeance and justice, survival and sacrifice. The choices they make will determine not only the outcome of the war but the future of the Astrans themselves. Before the war, before the fear, they were all the same. They were all stardust once.
